ITA association
The ITA association, one of the first COIN multipliers, has applied to collaborate with the COIN project in order to launch and execute an additional pilot case based on COIN results.
ITA (IT for Automotive, http://www.ita-int.de/) was founded on March 14, 2000, with the aim of improving the exchange of information between the car manufacturers and suppliers on the one hand, and the ICT service providers on the other hand, with emphasis on the analysis of supply chain logistics.
ITA members are consulting and ICT partners as wells as LSPs (logistics service providers) in the automotive sector. Currently more than 50 well-known companies from these sectors, with a wide range of core competences, are represented in ITA (Siemens, SAP, Fraunhofer, BLG ...). The ITA member companies employed in 2003 around 325.000 personnel and booked revenues of around 48 billion Euro.
ITA will collaborate with the COIN Project on “Collaborative Demand Capacity Planning – CDCP“, to optimise the performance of 1st and 2nd tier suppliers in the automotive supply chain.
