Biography

He received B.S. Degree, M.S. Degree and Ph.D. Degree in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) in 1982, 1985 and 1988 respectively.

Since 1985, he has worked in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in HIT. In 1993, he became a professor of this department. In 1994, he became the head of this department. Since 2000, he has been the dean of the School of Computer Science and Technology in HIT.

He is vice-chair of the IFIP Working Group on Enterprise Interoperability, member of the Group on Computer Science and Technology in the Academic Degree Committee of China State Council, standing member of the Board of China Computer Federation, vice-chairman of Standardization Technical Committee on Industry Automation and System Integration. And he was the member of the Expert Committee of China National High-Tech R&D Program on Computer Integrated Manufacturing Systems.
