COIN Winter School - Talks Available online

Talks from the COIN Winter school are now online at http://videolectures.net/coinplanetdataschool2011.

• 2nd COIN PlanetData Winter School was successfully organized together with the PlanetData NoE from FP7.
• Participants of the COIN PlanetData Winter School came from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Ljubljana, Slovenia where the School was held and from the Lab. for Manufacturing Systems and Production Process Planning at the same Faculty.
• The school was sliced down to three parts; COIN, COIN Multipliers training day and PlanetData. The target audience was Academia and Industry, Multipliers.
• We had 24 speakers, 15 attendees and at least 30 online attendees
• We relied on heavy usage of social media such as live blogging, Twitter, Facebook and distribution over mailing lists and live streaming alerts
• The event was live streamed with the help of the Academic and Research Network of Slovenia (ARNES).
• The combination of the two major sets of related domains, Interoperability and Collaboration in the realm of Enterprises, Large-scale Data Management, has proven to be a reasonable decision.
• After the last session a student representative came to us and on behalf of the group expressed their common admiration, inspiration and serious interest in future research presented in the talks - which means we all succeeded in conveying the message.
