Future Internet and Enterprise Systems

Background
Future Internet and Enterprise Systems is one of the Grand Challenges identified in Section 4.2 of the Enterprise Interoperability Research Roadmap, Version 5.0.
This Grand Challenge refers directly to Section 5 of Value Proposition for Enterprise Interoperability, Version 4.0, in particular "New requirements for services and new service paradigms for the Future Internet, leading to new characteristics and properties for system openness, system adaptability and system integration in dynamic, programmable environments forming part of the Future Internet infrastructures".
Objective
This forum provides an opportunity for participants of the Enterprise Interoperability Cluster as well as any interested parties to comment and debate on research issues related to the subject of the forum. It is intended to contribute directly to ongoing discussion of the EI Cluster in complement to and in support of the FP7 ICT Work Programme 2009-2010, specifically in relation to Objective 1.3 "Internet of Things and Enterprise Environments".
Indicative Issues
The following issues have been drawn up for the sole purpose of facilitating comments and debates. They are purely indicative and have no official status.
- Issue 1: Opportunity to use Future Internet technology in enterprise environments
- Issue 2: Future Internet for Enterprises: value proposition and business models of networked businesses
- Issue 3: System requirements for enterprise networking in Future Internet paradigms
- Issue 4: Software platforms on top of an Internet of Services
- Issue 5: Shared vision, new perspectives, new thinking and new prospects
